Ceci's Fifth Birthday Party!

Ceci isn't one to like being in front of the camera [alone]. This was right before her party and she was excited to have her friends over and play.
Angie, Raegan, David, Ceci, Sofia, Riley, Kaitlin, and Marcela (click on the picture to see the entire photo)

Last year, Grandma Leann was here for Marcela's birthday and she made her a castle cake and promised Ceci she'd come and make her one for her birthday. She's had a rough year health-wise and we decided we'd get someone to make one for Ceci and if Gram Leann could make it, we'd celebrate with her and she wouldn't have to do so much work. Turns out it was a good idea because all of the family (from Wyoming) got snowed out and couldn't make it because of closed roads. We were really sad they missed celebrating with us.

Ceci's best school-friend is Sofia. They have so much fun together at school. I can't imagine what they'd be like as sixth graders. It already sounds like they're having [too much] fun!

This year has been a strange year for weather. Usually it's freezing cold with a blanket of snow over everything for Cecilia's birthday, but she got really lucky and it was in the 50's that day and the kids got to go out and play on the trampoline for quite awhile. I think the photos (thanks to Armando) are proof enough that they had a great time!

My dear friend, Carolina Peralta, helped out with making some great games -one of them was Pin the jewel on the crown. Armando helped explain the rules of the game.

We used Marcela's eye cover that matched Ceci's dress for the blindfold.

When we were planning Ceci's party, she said all she wanted to play was "Bingo" but when she described the game, she really meant "Limbo."

 The cake was delicious!

 Make a wish!
Everyone helped her out because the candles were sparklers and were hard to extinguish.
