Woke up in Paris

Wednesday was a great day with a quick trip to the Murray pool with Armando and the girls. Several trips down the big slide. I want to remember Cecilia's bursts of laughter as we hit the bottom every time. A quick shower. Bags in the car. Ready to go. No time to eat...at all. I told Armando at least I would arrive in Paris skinny. Then I got bumped up to first class. Four-course meal. Every bite as delectable from the fresh broccoli soup and crab-avocado salad with canteloupe slices to the chocolate cake . . . that's what they said it was anyways. I have never had chocolate like that. Melt-in-your-mouth heaven. So needless to say, I didn't arrive in Paris skinny per se, but I did sleep like a baby on the plane - stretched out under a soft blankey with my complimentary eye cover and warm socks, I slept til they woke me asking if I wanted breakfast.

I had no problems with the train and three metro lines to get to my hotel. On the metro, I saw a group of nine-year-olds on some kind of field trip with their frazzled teacher and I had to chuckle. Kids are the same everywhere. It's nice to be on vacation. Now I'm off to adventure and see what I can find. Maybe a bite to eat and the Eiffel tower or some gardens, crossing the narrow streets in two little skips . . . camera in hand. Time to do what I came here for.

XO,
Daisy

oh great. first class. now you'll perpetually hate business class and those regular lowly seats in the back of the plane...wouldn't be caught dead. so. there you go. air travel ruined and at such a young age.
